SLC - Ruotsinkielisten maa- ja metsätaloustuottajien keskusliitto
Suomessa toimii rinnakkain sekä ruotsinkielinen Svenska lantbruksproducenternas centralförbund SLC r.f. että suomenkielinen Maa-ja metsätaloustuottajain keskusliitto MTK.
SLC, joka toimii ruotsinkielisillä rannikkoalueilla, on noin 9 000 maataloustuottajien ja 16 900 metsänomistajien ammatti- ja etujärjestö. SLC:n toiminta perustuu jäsenten, maa- ja metsätalouden ja maaseudun edunvalvontaan kansallisella tasolla. Markkina-, maatalouspolitiikka, verotus- ja rahoitus- sekä sosiaaliset kysymykset ovat toimintamme tärkeimpiä toimialueita.
SLC osallistuu MTK:n lailla valtion kanssa käyviin maataloustuloneuvotteluihin ja erilaisiin työryhmiin jotka käsittelevät maa- ja metsätalouden ajankohtaisia kysymyksiä. SLC antaa myös lausuntoja esim. uusista lainsäädäntöesityksistä. Brysselissä MTK:lla, Pellervo-seuralla ja SLC:llä on yhteinen edunvalvontatoimisto. Aktiivinen ja läheinen yhteistyö SLC:n ja MTK:n välillä on osoittanut, että järjestöt täydentävät toisiaan tavalla, joka vahvistaa viljelijöiden ja maaseudun edunvalvontaa.
SLC:llä on kahdeksan jäsenliittoa, josta neljä tuottajaliittoa Österbottens svenska producentförbund ÖSP r.f., SLC Nyland, SLC Åboland ja Ålands producentförbund ÅPF r.f. sekä neljä metsänhoitoyhdistystä Skogsvårdsföreningen Österbotten, Södra Skogsreviret, Jeppo skogsvårdsförening ja Ålands skogsvårdsförening. Tuottajaliitoilla, joihin kuuluu 50 paikallisyhdistystä, ja metsänhoitoyhdistyksillä on myös jäsenille suunnattua alueellista edunvalvontaa ja palveluita.
SLC:n ylin päättävä taho on valtuuskunta. Toimeenpanevana elimenä toimii johtokunta johon kuuluu seitsemän jäsentä. Johtokunnan puheenjohtajana toimii Mats Nylund ja toiminnanjohtajana Jonas Laxåback (tarkemmat yhteystiedot). SLC:n valiokunnat valmistelevat asioita johtokunnalle ja SLC:llä on edustajat myös useissa MTK:n valiokunnissa.
SLC:n jäsenlehti Landsbygdens Folk, joka on Suomen johtava ruotsinkielinen maaseutulehti, ilmestyy noin kerran viikossa kaikille jäsenille ja sisältyy SLC:n jäsenmaksuun.
MTK:n, SLC:n ja Pellervon yhteinen toimisto Brysselissä valvoo suomalaisten maanviljelijöiden, metsänomistajien sekä maaseutuyrittäjien etuja Euroopan unionissa.

SLC - The Central Union of Swedish-speaking Agricultural Producers in Finland
The Central Union of Swedish-speaking Farmers and Forest Owners in Finland, Svenska lantbruksproducenternas centralförbund SLC r.f. is one of the two agricultural interest organisations representing Finnish farmers, forest owners and rural entrepreneurs. SLC members, 9 000 farmers and 16 900 forest owners, are located primarily along the southern and western coast of Finland and on the Åland Islands.
SLC:s sister organization, The Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners MTK is active in Finnish-speaking areas of Finland.
The key tasks of SLC include political, economical and social supervision of interests and representing the interests of members in agricultural and forest politics, taxation, financing and legal matters, environmental and land policy, and social policy. Together with MTK, SLC participates in the agricultural negotiations with the state of Finland. SLC is also represented in a number of working groups and committees that deal with agricultural politics, legislation and other matters.
SLC's organisation has four regional unions Österbottens svenska producentförbund ÖSP r.f., SLC Nyland, SLC Åboland, Ålands producentförbund ÅPF r.f. and four forest owner associations Skogsvårdsföreningen Österbotten, Södra Skogsreviret, Jeppo skogsvårdsförening and Ålands skogsvårdförening as members. In the regional producer's unions there are 50 local associations.
The highest decision-making body in SLC is the delegation. The executive body is the board of Directors, assisted by a number of committees. They plan the matters of production sectors; milk, meat and grain production, ecological production, seed production, market-garden production, entrepreneurship, social policy, pensions, financing, etc. SLC is also often represented in MTK:s committees.

SLC:s weekly newspaper for members and subscribers, Landsbygdens Folk is Finland's leading agricultural newspaper in Swedish.
SLC, MTK and Pellervo Society share an office in Brussels since 1991, which has the task to supervise the interests of Finnish farmers, forest owners and rural entrepreneurs in the European Union.
